Calling all hair and beauty product fans!
Beauty Cow is very happy to be announcing some exciting news today!
We are looking to recruit a group of hair and beauty product fans, who will make up our official Beauty Cow Beauty Panel!
Could you be just what we're looking for?!
The Beauty Cow Beauty Panel will be made up of friendly people who take beauty seriously and who enjoy buying hair and beauty products. We are looking to include people from all age groups. If you are a member of the Panel, you will need to be able to explain to us in writing how you feel about the products we send to you for testing.
What could being a member of the Panel do for you?
First and foremost, we will regularly send products to our Panel members for testing on our behalf. In return, all we ask is for your feedback.
In addition, we will invite you to enjoy exclusive Beauty Cow deals and discounts, as well as featuring your reviews on our blog, website and more.
Not only that, the selected members will be sent a special thank you gift, as part of their introduction onto the Beauty Cow Beauty Panel.

Introduction to our favourite beauty bloggers
We are super-excited! A group of our favourite bloggers are helping us to build BeautyCow.com into the perfect hair and beauty website! We thought we would therefore take a moment or two to introduce the gorgeous girlies to you and give you the opportunity to go visit their fabulous blogs yourself (if you haven't already!) as you'll definitely be seeing more of them... watch this space ;)

GHD Heat Protectant Review from abbzzw
Abby from abbzzw.com here.. I have been using the new GHD Heat Protectant for the past fortnight and am going to share with you my thoughts on the product.
The newly improved formula is brand new for June 2011 and has been developed to improve everything from the way it works to how it smells and even the packaging. This Heat Protection spray is suitable for all hair types and is very light and not at all oily, something I desperately need as I have a lot of hair but it is quite fine and can get greasy relatively easily. I spritz each layer before straightening and have not experienced any product buildup or oily residue, this is easily the main reason I love this product so much. It doesn't take much for my hair to look a bit greasy when it's straight but with this heat protectant I am able to protect my hair, make it smell a-ma-zing and seem to be avoiding having greasy roots by the end of the day as well. Another perk of the product?!
I'm first to admit that heat protection was one of the last things on my mind when it comes to styling my hair. I know how bad that sounds but i'm also fully aware of how damaged my hair was by not using it, especially before blow drying. But now since trying the new ghd thermal protector i'm converted!

The Tigi S Factor Range
To prove that it isn't just us who love the Tigi S Factor range, here's what some un-biased people think about the products!
Smoothing Lusterizer:
"This is my Holy grail hair product. I use it every time i wash my hair. It Tames flyaways, gives amazing shine and defrizzes. Even continues to work well in the rain. (And i usually look like Fuzzy bear when i'm caught in drizzle) You apply this to damp hair before blow drying." Zoe
Flat Iron Shine Spray:
"This is serious stuff, it will make your hair look and feel amazing...almost like glass! There are a couple ways to effectively use this product. The obvious one is to use it before using your flat iron, but it's also effective when used in wet hair. It buffers the heat from your blowdryer - anddd because it also protects your hair from your iron, it prevents Product build up." Anthony
"I always use this when my hair is dry right before I straighten it, and it smooths and calms my hair that tends to get a little bit crazy after being air dried!
One of the best things about this spray is that you don't need to be spraying every layer that you straight. To apply it I split my hair in three sections, spray each section once and then comb my hair with my finger to spread the product evenly. And believe me I have lots of hair and just three sprays are enough!" Marta

"Love it! Smells amazing. It makes my hair so soft and glossy. If i do straighten my hair it is much faster as my hair just behaves better. I leave it in for five minutes and use the smoothing shampoo also and my hair looks and smells like ive just walked out a salon. Would def recommend." Lou
Health Factor Balance Booster:
"I was very impressed with these little tubes. They smell wonderful and minty and each tube is the perfect size to do my upper-back-length hair. They did seem to improve the condition and strength of my hair in a visible way, especially after doing all 4 weekly treatments." Sophie
Papaya Leave In Moisture Spray:
"I personally LOVE this stuff! It's the ONLY leave in conditioner I have ever used religiously. I have very long hair that gets tangled very easily...this product helps to detangle and helps with fly aways. It's also moisturizing I have colored hair and this helps keep it from drying out. I love the packaging and it sprays evenly." Emma

How to Curl Your Hair with a Straightener
The benefit of using a straightener to curl your hair as opposed to a curler is that it creates less of a ringlet but a more relaxed curl.
The curls also tend to last a really long time, so there are no worries about your hair going flat during the evening!
Once you get the hang of this it's really quite easy to do! Let us know how you get on :)
- Separate your hair into sections starting with curling the bottom layer
- Brush your hair through, knots will prevent the styler from moving through your hair seamlessly
- Apply heat protectant, concentrating on the middle section of your hair
- Take a section of hair about an inch thick and wrap it once around your styler
- Turn the straightener over until the hair is coming straight down again
- Then slowly run it through the hair to where you'd like the curl to finish and pull it away from your hair
- Give the section a twist with your fingers
- And there you have your first curl!
- Repeat the above steps throughout the rest of your hair
- Use a hairspray to complete the look
